Pohjanranta Vineyeard

There has been agriculture and livestock for over 1000 years at Pohjanranta estate. Right now the farmland at Pohjanranta has been planted with 12 000 blackcurrant and 3000 green currant bushes. At the farmland at Suoharju in Tuusula, the owners Vuokko and Paavo, grow gooseberry. In our own wine cellar, these berries are made into wine that is served in our restaurants and sold in our own wine store.

Pohjanrannan mustaherukkaviini/ Pohjanranta blackcurrant wine

The wine is made from blackcurrant. The wine is medium-dry and the alcohol content is about 13 %. It is recommended to be served cool in the same way as Alsace red wines. Pohjanranta’s blackcurrant wine is also available in a sweet version.

Pohjanrannan viherherukkaviini/ Pohjanranta greencurrant wine

The wine is made from the green current. The wine is medium-dry and the alcohol content is 13 %. It is recommended to be served cool. Pohjanranta’s green currant wine is also available in a sweet version.

Pohjanrannan karviaisviini

The wine is made from gooseberries coming from Suoharju farm, Tuusula. Gooseberry wine is a refreshing white wine. The alcohol content is 12,5 %. The wine is also available as a sweet wine.
